Nelma Ferreira was crowned Miss World Angola 2018 by Miss World Angola 2017, Judelsia Bache, on Saturday 22nd September. Nelma is a 20-year-old student from Benguela. First Runner Up, Márcia Buambua from Huambo, and Second Runner Up, Miriam Conde from Cabinda, will support Nelma during her tenure. Eighteen contestants, representing each of Angola’s provinces, participated in the contest.
Angola has twice received top placements in Miss World. Micaela Reis won First Runner Up in 2007 and Birgite dos Santos placed in the top five finalists.
