Then it was on to the beach for the long Jump and 60 meter dash. In the long jump, Miss Bolivia was the clear favourite, and in the end she out jumped her competition with a leap of – 3m 30cm.
The 60 meter dash was way more competitive, and after six rounds of qualifying heats it was down to the final race between the top qualifiers: Cayman Islands, Netherlands, and USA. It was literally a photo finish…but edging out the others for the win was Miss Netherlands in a time of 8.15 seconds.
The final event of the day was the Swim Challenge, and the beautiful Rosewood, infinity edge pool, welcomed the athletes. Two qualifying rounds took us into the final swim between: Cook Islands, New Zealand, Ireland, USA, Finland, and Netherlands. In a record swim, Miss New Zealand covered the length of the pool in a swift 34 seconds.
Then, in the running for Sports Woman 2018 and the contestant moving on to join France and Japan as early Top 30 finalists are:
3rd place – Netherlands
2nd place – Bolivia
And the trophy and title – Miss World Sports Woman 2018 go to: USA!
