The 65th edition of MISS WORLD will be hosted by the tropical island of Hainan in China. Miss World 2015 will take place on 19th December at the Beauty Crown Grand Theatre in Sanya. The Beauty Crown Grand Theatre, which was specially constructed for Miss World 2003, is now towered by the nine iconic buildings, looking like trees with fruit and branches, that are now home to the 7 Star Sanya Beauty Crown Hotel. This will be the 6th time that the Hainan island hosts Miss World.
It is the sixth time that Sanya hosts the competition (it did so in the years 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2010) and the 7th time China will host (Ordos also hosted the pageant in 2012).
About 140 contestants are expected to arrive in China three weeks before to kick off the activities related to the competition, which include the popular classificatory events such as Sports woman, Talent, Top Model, and Beauty with a Purpose; also auditions and rehearsals for Dances of the World, and the popular “World Designer Dress” fashion show.
