EGYPT RETURNS TO MISS UNIVERSE!
It’s official! Egypt will be returning to Miss Universe 2017 under the new directorship of Hoda Abboud, who runs Alexandria based events management company Event4U.
In 1987, Hoda became the first Egyptian woman to officially win the title of Miss Egypt and also went on to become the first Egyptian to compete at Miss Universe pageant in Singapore. She is also the aunt of reigning Miss Egypt Universe, Lara Debbane. Egypt last competed in Miss Universe 2014 after which the national competition was disbanded by the former organizer.
In a conversation with Missosology, Hoda revealed that this year the Miss Egypt pageant will be low key due to lack of time for preparation and will take place tentatively in October to select representative to Miss Universe 2017.
